If you would like your child to charge their student account at the book fair that starts on Friday, May 3rd, you must authorize them to do so by completing the Student Account Authorization Form.
We ask that you fill out a separate form for each child. To check your child's Student Spending Account balance or to add funds, please log into your MyKidsSpending account. Please know that we are required to charge tax on every purchase, so if you're sending your children to school with cash, send enough to cover tax as well as their book costs.
If you're interested in volunteering at the book fair, we still have open slots for parents to help during fair hours. Please sign up here if you have time to help. We are so grateful for any time you can donate.
Proceeds from the fair will go to our library (Mrs. DiLorenzo hopes to purchase a new picture book browser!) and therefore, directly impact our students. We thank you for shopping at our book fair and we look forward to seeing you! Book Fair Hours:
Friday, May 3rd (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) Saturday, May 4th (Parents' Day, 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) Tuesday, May 7th (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) Thursday, May 8th (Grandfriends' Day, 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) The following methods of payment will be accepted at the Book Fair: cash, credit cards, checks (payable to Rumsey Hall School), student account. |

From the Social and Community Leadership Class:
The Social and Community Leadership class has been working with Susan B. Anthony Project this year. The Susan B Anthony Project promotes safety, healing, and growth for all survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and advocates for the autonomy of women and the end of interpersonal violence. The class has been planning and organizing a drive that will begin on May 7th and end the following week on May 14th. This drive will be collecting shampoo and conditioner, razors, body wash, bars of soap, pads and tampons, hygiene products, toothbrushes and toothpaste. This organization helps women who have been in abusive relationships and relocates women and children who are part of a violent relationship. These items will help out the families very much, and we hope you will all consider donating. We understand how difficult it is for the boarding families to find a way to get involved in the in-person drives. Therefore, we have created an Amazon Wishlist for boarding (and all) families to be able to purchase items that will be shipped to Rumsey and then delivered to the SBAP location in Torrington, CT. In addition to the drive, the class will also host a Kickball Tournament on May 23, 2024 where the whole Rumsey community can come together and support this cause. We will be taking cash donations during the week of the drive as well as at the tournament, where there will be a snack bar and bracelets for participants. It is very important to us that we educate everyone in the school, from the young kindies to the teachers and parents of our school, about the importance of the Susan B. Anthony Project. Please join us in support of this amazing cause.
